Adam Scott's 62 at the Memorial

Adam Scott shot a 62 yesterday at the Memorial, 5 shots better than the next best round. Through 2 rounds he's leading the tournament by 1 over Rod Pampling, and no superstar is too close behind. Tiger is 10 back; Phil withdrew with a wrist injury. Vijay is 8 back. But it's hard to follow a really low round with another good round, and I expect Scott to get passed up today. Why is it so rare to see a 62 followed by a 66 or 67 (except at certain of the Tour's easier venues)? Are certain types of player better at doing this than others? Maybe great players are better at doing this. Scott is the No. 4 ranked player in the world, and I'm curious to see what he does today. If he has a very good round today, it might be a sign that he's taking things to the next level. In any event, I expect him to contend for a major for the first time this year -- Oakmont and Carnoustie might be tough for him, but who knows.
